When you're in love, you begin to think that your love is utterly unique, while finding it impossible to feel romantic passion for anyone else.

People who are truly in love tend to focus on the positive qualities of their beloved, while overlooking his or her negative traits. People who are in love feel a powerful sense of empathy toward their beloved, and feel that their pain is their own, and would sacrifice anything for them.

When you're madly in love, sometimes there's a tendency to give a lot more than you should.. Everything you do and think about revolves around your partner. This laser-sharp focus can consume you to a point where you lose yourself and begin to lost sight of your own high standards.

Falling in love also often leads to mental and physical instability.

We bounce between:

  • Exhilaration
  • Euphoria
  • Increased energy
  • Sleeplessness
  • Loss of appetite
  • Trembling, a racing heart and accelerated breathing
  • Anxiety, panic and feelings of despair when your relationship suffers even the smallest setback.

Love can be like a drug.. Being in love, researchers say, is a form of addiction. A positive one I would say, but what If:

  • It becomes difficult to cope with your initial priorities and everything seems like too little compared to your loved one? What actions can you suggest?
  • How can you improve your life without feeling burn out?
  • Can Yoga really help with this inner process?

If You feel addicted to this unique feeling and fancy a recharge so that you can give more to your spouse or just to yourself, this

Yoga Retreat for Women in Love

can fill up your heart with immense sense of continuity and strength.

A Yoga practice designed for Women in Love can provide you with both obvious and unexpected benefits for the body, mind and spirit.

Yoga offers women solace, reflection, joy, acceptance and an ease with their bodies.

Yoga can help women find physical and emotional balance, as well as self-acceptance.

Whether you're striving to build intimacy, passion or trust between you and your partner, let this Yoga Retreat open your heart and spice up your love life!!

Yoga and Pranayama:

You will practice in a safe environment, where teacher and student spend time together to learn about each other by asking questions before sharing any point of view.

During the retreat Chiara will guide you through 5 different Pranayama techniques to balance the hemispheres of your brain, your state of mind and to reset your energy level, for a long lasting Love!

During the retreat you will also explore the connection between body and breath as an exercise that pushes yourself beyond what we’re capable of. Increased strength and flexibility will come naturally over time, as you make progress through continued practice and dedication.

Your Yoga

You will work with the principle of satya, or truthfulness, one of the five yamas to live by in fundamental yoga philosophy. To act from a place of satya means to speak and live your truth from a place of integrity. Being honest in your interactions with others begins with cultivating honesty within yourself first.

One of the most effective ways you can express boundaries in your relationships can begin right on your Yoga mat. Knowing when to back off in a challenging asana or just say “no” altogether means you’re listening effectively to the needs of your body in that given moment and honoring your limitations, also this is Love; for yourself.

Connect to the part of you that can best feel emotions, without judgment. Accept all your feelings and learn from them. When you practice accepting your own feelings, it becomes easier to accept the feelings of others too. This is how you harness your emotional power to create positive change.

The amphitheatre - modeled on the ancient Greek theatres - features outstanding acoustics and can host an audience of three hundred. Made exclusively of natural materials, the amphitheatre's shape is a metaphor for Love.

The Deck area - under the thick shade of ancient olive trees - offers a peaceful spot to practise for your daily yoga and pranayama. The olive tree represents wellbeing, wisdom and joie de vivre and is the perfect place to rest and recharge.

Kithira island -Location:

This yoga holiday will take place in Kithira, one of the wildest Greek islands.

The ancient myth that referred the island as Aphrodite’s birthplace has been the inspiration for the paintings of celebrated artists such as Sandro Botticelli and Jean-Antoine Watteau.

Now, a trip to Kýthera is the symbol of a burning desire, of hankering for beauty; and not unjustly so.

You will be staying in Kapsali, a small village by the sea with a traditional community feel. It still largely upholds the true rural Kithirian ethics of simplicity, kindness, and hospitality.

Getting there

There are a lot of ways to come to Kythira.

  1. By Plane from the international Airport of Athens.
  2. By boat from Piraeus.
  3. By car up to Gythion and Neapoli Lakonias and from there again by boat.
  4. If you come from Crete you can take the boat in Kasteli of Kissamos (district of Chania).
  5. Furthermore, there are flying dolphins departing from the port of Piraeus.

To choose your way to Kithira, read here what Andrew Bostock from The Telegraph wrote about it:

“Kythira can be troublesome to get to, a positive advantage in the perfect island stakes. It is not close to any of the better known islands, lying on its own at the bottom of the Peloponnese peninsula. You can fly there, but only on local flights, and the familiar UK package tour is unknown on the island. The best way to arrive is by boat. This can be done, rather indirectly, from Athens or, more pleasurably, from the little southern port of Neapoli, after a journey that can take in some of the delights of the Peloponnese itself”.

You can discover more about Kithira by reading his full article of 2015:
